Default Re: bleach or granular shock?

Either will work, but PLAIN 6% (ck %) bleach has fewer 'side effects' and is MUCH more likely to be just chlorine with no goop.

Granular "shock" materials are very hard to purchase these days, since most pool chemical companies are diluting and blending them with goop you don't want in your pool; you pretty much have to be an expert "Label Inspector" to buy that stuff safely.
