Hi, I've just installed an AG 21' round Legacy pool. I purchased this used off of craigslist 3 yrs ago and it has taken a good bit of the summer to level, dig ditches for electrical and then get electrical working. It appears I have most things under control at this point thanks to many of your comments/suggestions. I have a k-2006 tester and pool solar cover and am beginning the shocking process. The pool has been filled for about 10 days and still looks beautiful but have kicked the kids out and beginning the shock process.
I appear to have some problem with my pool pump. It is a 1HP Waterford pump which trips my breaker if I attempt to hook up the ground wire for the gfci breaker. I did have to change the wiring for the pump to the twist plug but I am thinking I need to dig into the back of that pump housing to look for some capacitor or do I have to spring for a new pump.
