The page you linked is a little short on content. It certainly supports the contention that it's only melamine foam, but it doesn't settle the question. However, using the search function on this page: http://www.pgproductsafety.com/ reveals that there are MULTIPLE flavors of "Mr. Clean Magic Eraser" and that some of them contains scents, and others contain detergents. The detergents would definitely be a problem, and the scents might be one.

To avoid problems, people would need to be VERY careful to get ONLY the "ORIGINAL" product, sort of like our recommendation to get PLAIN big-box store-brand 6% (check the %) bleach!
