    Default Pool Equipment

    Hi
I'm in the process of interviewing pool contractors for a new pool build this fall. I'm not sure about equipment, so far each one uses a different manufacturer. One's Pentair, one is Hayward, the other is Jandy. I've read a bit about Pentair and Hayward (not a lot though) and I can find nothing on Jandy. Also, salt cell or now salt cell, why or why not? Any help or recommendations would be much appreciated.
    Thanks again.

All of them make some good equipment AND all make some junk; there's no generic answer. But, if I had to stick with just one mfg, I'd probably go with Pentair, but I would stay away from their old junk . . . and most of their new electronic 'gee-whiz' stuff.
