Do you add bleach directly in the water or through the skimmer?
I know I saw the answer somewhere on the forum, but I can't seem to find it.

If you don't have trichlor pucks in a feeder or in the skimmer, you can add the bleach through the skimmer if you want to. (I think that's how Watermom adds hers.)If you have trichlor inline, then just pour it slowly into the return stream, where the water comes back into the pool from the pump (that's how I prefer to add mine).
Pour slowly, and wear old clothes, no matter how careful you think you're gonna be...ask me how I know![]()

I made the mistake of dropping in 2 trichlor pucks in the skimmer with my work clothes on. Of course I was wearing black dress pants that now sport 4 bleached dots.
Back a few years ago, when I was servicing 20+ large (100,000+ gallon each) commercial pools, and using a tanker load of bleach every 2 weeks, my guys and I had a uniform of Land's End royal blue knit shirts with a monogram. My sons thought that the shirts CAME with white spots!![]()
