    Question Help identifying equipment

    Hello all....hope i can make the cut to join the forum, as I just bought a house with an inground pool and would like to manage it myself.

    just needed some help identifying this model so i can find appropriate o-ring. thanks

    Yep, it's a superpump clone called the Precision Pool Pump by Precison Pump Company and probably has a PPC logo somewhere on it. I saw one once before and it uses a lot of 1600 series Superpump parts. It has an AO Smith motor and it's sold by Sears, Buy.com, Amazon, and Electric Motor Warehouse. It's not a Florida thing. My best guess is that it is made in China and is a 'builders special' although Electric Motor Warehouse say that they assemble them in Michigan which probably means they are mounting the AO Smith motors on the wet ends which probably come from China.

    My guess is a Hayward SuperPump 1600 serires O-ring will fit. (I assume you mean the lid O- ring.)
