Default looking for info on getting the metal out of our pool

We're dealing with our yearly battle to get the water from green to clear. Put in three bottles of Mineral Magnet last night and ran the filter all night. Still light green and waiting ...

Mineral Magnet and similar products do not remove metals from your pool; they simply help keep the metals in a soluble form temporarily. I'm concerned about the size of your pool relative to the dose you added. I'm guessing you were operating on the 'some is good; more is better' principle?

Regardless, if your pool is green and cloudy, it's probably algae, not metals. If it's green and clear, it *might* be iron, or it might be something else.

There are three major questions you need to answer about metals in your pool:
    1. Is the problem really metals?
    2. If it is metals, what kind of metal?
    3. If it is metals, how did they get into the pool?
Do you know the answer to any of those questions?

That info, plus the chart info would create a place to start begin looking for solutions.
