I put a link in your other thread where it shows a picture of my old deck. A new deck was recently built but I haven't put up a new pic yet. I will. My deck (old one and new one) are flush with the edge of the pool and it looks fine. My new deck has a nicer finished edge than the old one did. I debated about material but went with pressure treated wood. I didn't really like the looks of the composite decking material.

Check your other thread and I will try and update with some pics of my new pool. So, check back on that thread once in awhile to see if I have managed to do so.

There are pics of some other pools in the photo galleries but you may have to wait until your registration is completed to be able to see those sections.

We built a deck that goes around three sides of the pool. We left the 4th side open because the view is so gorgeous. Click on the link in my signature to get to my pool pages and you'll see a number of photos. Our deck is just plain unpainted lumber.

I put the deck under the top rail. We have a j-hook liner and would need to remove the top rail for liner replacement. The kids do stand on the top rail to jump in but they are under a hundred lbs, the older kids head my warning.

I wish I used composite material for the decking, the pt planks take a beating and are beginning to show their age.

This is what it looks like...
