.avi is bad too? I just didn't want to throw it up in my youtube channel; have to create a different one for random stuff like this.

I used some algaecide to kill off my algae problem and it seems to have fixed my cloud spewing issue when the pump turns on each day. Does this seem possible to anyone? Just trying to figure out wth is going on, lol.

If you use polyquat, yes. It's a clarifier / coagulent, as well as an algaecide.
Regarding videos, most of the video formats have been used as virus packages, so if it's not on YouTube, I don't want direct links.
However, a picture would have done the trick; neither DE nor cartridge filters do well with live algae. You need to kill it before worrying about filter function.
Also, it looks like you are using DE in your cartridge filter; I recently found out that this can shorten cartridge life by damaging the polyester fibers. I recommend it to find filter leaks, but I probably need to set a policy of NOT recommending it to improve filtration on cartridge filters.
Slim, welcome to The Forum! You've got a System 2 modular DE filter. The 2 most likely places where DE could bypass the cartridge are the air relief assembly (the blue plastic do-hickie that sticks out of the top) and the pipe that the cart slides onto. I can't remember if there is an o-ring and my parts book doesn't show one but, a bad o-ring on the standpipe that the cart slides onto would be my first place to check.
BTW, can you post some test #s? If we had those, we could help you rid yourself of the algae.![]()
