Angry Pool heater won't stay lit!

    Hello!
I have a jandy lite 2 and it keeps turning off with an error fl 2. After cleaning and checking flame sensor I decided to give it a try and had the same error. It appears that the issue isn't with the flame sensor, but the flame channel the sensor is connected to. Of the 10 or so flame channels, each one lights except the one with the sensor.

How do I clean the flame channel gas jet to remove any sort of blockage? The damn thing looks almost impossible to remove!

I've emailed a couple of Zodiac/Jandy's product support team who are members here, to see if they can help. Computer codes are mfg and even model specific, so it's not the sort of question we can help with. I wouldn't expect a response from them before Tuesday

    thanks doc.

I guess I should have been clearer. fl 2 is the error that says the flame didn't start. It's correct in the fact that the flame isn't touching the sensor, but only because that one flame channel (burner?) didn't light.

    Rob,

the problem still remains that we can't trouble shoot computer controlled gear, because the programming is individual to the unit. Maybe one day, we'll have a chart from Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy that says "These 18 units all have the same program and codes; this one is unique; these 4 are a alike, etc" and also have a complete program reference for each unit. But, there's nothing like that now.

So, unless one of us happens to have your EXACT make and model, AND has had to trouble shoot it . . . we can't help. This is just one of the reasons I don't get all excited about electronic controls.
