Hello pool experts,
I'm realitively new to this pool experience. I've had my 33' above ground pool for about 4 yrs now. First two years I used Bacqucil and WAY too expensive for this Dallas, TX HEAT. I switched to salt water and been happy with the cost and maintenance.

I have a couple of issues if you wouldn't mind taking the time to address:

1. I have the Jandy E1 Salt Cell System and after just one year (which is the warranty) I do not think it is generating enough chlorine. The specs say between 3,000-3,500 for salt level. I put 16 bags of salt in and got it to 3,000. I'm going to put two more in after I work on problem 2 below. I've cleaned the salt cell with acid/water and removed the dry salt deposits. I've also read on the posts to use Dhloride for the shock, which is at Sams. In the past, I've been using the regular shock...no formal training you see. Anyone have any words of wisdom regarding this system?

2. I've been losing about 1-2" of water daily. This pool does hve 25k gallons, but loosing 1k a day is very extensive. I can contribute some to evaporation, but not that much. I've checked the liner and I do not see any areas that the pool is leaking from. No seem rips, no bubbles, nothing. Today I've finished siliconing the intake and exhaust with hopes that this was part of the problem. As you know salt water is real corrosive, so some of the intake screws are disintegrating. There is water pooling just outside of the low level. Any ideas on how to find this annoying leak?
