+ And, I'll need details about your pump / filter make / model.
+ Finally, I need to know how important it is to you to avoid blue-green stains. (If you don't care, it's easier).
Meanwhile, get a cheap OTO / phenol red kit and start testing pH and chlorine with it. Keep chlorine levels in the 0.5 - 2 ppm range. Keep the pH in the 7.0 - 7.4 range - use muriatic acid (see link in sig) as needed. If you need to raise the pH, use borax, NOT pH UP or other soda ash based products.
