    turns out it must have just been a dirty pool. Pressure seems to hold steady at 20psi now. Lesson learned here though is that a dirty pool may require a backwash every 2 hours or so. Seems to be pretty normal.
    48x14 rectangle in-ground concrete pool, 29k gallons, Taylor K-2006, 8.25% Clorox
    DE Filter Pentair FNS Plus FNSP60 (filter area – 60 sq ft, GPM 150, diameter 21.5”, turnover capacity 86,400 per 12 hours)
    Pump 1HP Pentair WhisperFlo high performance
    SWCG Zodiak LM3-24 (24 grams of pure chlorine per hour)
    Booster Pump Polaris Halcyon PB4-60Q
