How slow is "slow"? A gallon a day? A gallon a minute? Is the pool noticeably losing water? Is there a mess around the filter? Those would be my decision points.
I can not get to the drain for my filter due to all the pipes surrounding it. It has a very slow leak. Should I just put up with the leak? Also, when washing the Filter grids (DE filter), is it too big of a problem not to drain the filter completely?
Thanks

Less than a gallon a day, probably closer to a gallon a week. It's,enough to keep it wet around the base of the filter, but definitely no noticeable drop in pool levels.
Speaking just for my messy, sloppy self . . . I wouldn't re-pipe a pump pad for a 1 gallon per day leak.
(In point of fact, I haven't. The kiddie pool TR-140 filter at ___________ Golf and Country Club has had a crack around the top threads that's been leaking about that badly (1 - 2 gallon/day) for 5+ years. I'm finally going to see if I can fix it.)
