    Cool New member

I am CPO certified through NSPF. I worked in tech support for AquaCal/AutoPilot(Horner) for 4 years, and currently work in Tech support for Jack's Magic & Power Blue. I am also a Certified Stain Specialist. I look forward to learning more from others in the industry and helping out when I can.

Hello, and welcome. Please do lots and lots of reading around this forum and our sister site, Poolsolutions.com before offering much advice-- you'll find our advice much different than the standard "industry advice", which is more often designed to sell chems than help pool owners.

Hi Shannon, and welcome to the PoolForum.

You might want to read some, before posting. If you know Sean Assam, you can ask him what the climate here is like.

In your case, you probably want to know that we recommend use of HEDP, ascorbic acid, sodium hydrosulfite and the like generically, and not by brand name. I'm not against JacksMagic products, but we aren't trying to keep their 'secrets' either. So, you want to be prepared that, if you recommend that someone use "The Pink (or Purple, or Blue) Stuff" someone else is likely to pop up, and say "or any other 100% HEDP product", etc.

(By the way, I met Jack Beene several times back in the 80's -- I was using DPD tabs by the carton at that time, and I vaguely remember buying some from him. I can't recall whether he had a distributor relationship with Lovibond or Palintest, or what. But, any how I talked to him at 1 or 2 NSPI shows as well.)
