Hi Its;
Welcome to the wonderful world of man-made slime pits! Sounds like you made substantial progress toward turning it back into a pool!
I'm going to give some 'get-by-for-now' advice; do NOT confuse with the 'how-you-can-best-run-operate-your-pool' advice we'll try to give later, once we know more!
FIRST: send the best and biggest pictures you can, of your pool, your pipes, and your equipment, to poolforum@gmail.com. We can give better advice once we know exactly what you've got!
SECOND: Verify my assumptions: (1) your pump and filter are operating now; (2) you are planning to use chlorine, and don't have some chlorine-alternative chemicals in the pool; (3) you haven't recently added a bunch of well water to your pool. If my assumptions are correct, go to step THREE. Otherwise, tell me what IS correct.
THREE:
+ Go to Walmart, today if at all possible, and get 12 gallons of plain 6% household bleach -- generic is fine; scented is not -- AND a cheap OTO/phenol red drops based test kit.
+ Before you add the bleach (below), test the pool.
+ Pour 2 gallons of bleach into the pool. (Don't splash it on yourself: bleach isn't very toxic to people, but it's very toxic to clothes!) Either pour it on top of the return stream re-entering the pool OR pour it in multiple spots around the pool. Plan on doing this EVERY evening till you know more about the pool.
+ Post the test results here; tell us the dimensions of your pool if you know.
