Default Problems with Len Gordon Air Switch

The air switch for my spa pump stopped working recently so I bought a replacement and that didn't work either. Yet, if I take the switch off the air line and blow into the air line I can get the switch to actuate the pump. Also, the spa pump will occasionally turn on all by itself! Should I replace the air line, Len Gordon Box or both. Thanks in advance.
I live in South Florida. I have owned my first pool for 6 years now. 12,200 gal. with exposed aggregate finish, spa with spill over, cartridge filter, pop up bottom cleaning jets, Chlorine by swg. I am eternally grateful for The Pool Forum!!

15'x30' Rectangle w/ ovals at ends 12.2K gal IG pool; Bleach now as SWCG died.; Hayward 1200 cartridge filter; Emerson 2HP pump; 6hrs; Taylor K-2006 La Motte Borate Test Strips; utility; summer: ; winter: ; iPad; PF:9.8

    Hm-mmh.

Not a spa expert, but I have worked a bit, many years ago, with air controls. There are 3 components: the tubing, the air-actuated switch, and the transmitter or button. It sounds like you may be say that the air-actuated switch works just fine, if you create the required air pressure by disconnecting the tubing from the transmitter, and blowing into the tubing directly.

If this is what you are saying, you probably need to
    1. check the tubing where it connects to the button, for cracks or splits (that you may cover or seal when you blow through the tubing)
    or
    2. replace the transmitter or button, rather than the switch.
