Default looking for recommendations on skimmers and returns

Has anyone seen "heavy-duty" skimmers and returns available? I want to make absolutely sure these pieces never fail, because (it seems to me) they would be virtually impossible to replace once the pool (in-ground) is built.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks!

+ They are difficult, but not impossible to replace.

+ I'm aware of some junk skimmers, but no "heavy duty" ones.

+ What usually kills skimmers is EITHER improper construction technique OR freeze damage. Those problems would break a HD skimmer, too.

+ Stick to Hayward or Pentair products and you'll be OK . . . if you have good construction and don't let an ice cylinder form in a skimmer.
