    You'll be fine with a sand filter. It does a very good job keeping the pool clear. If you maintain your chemistry consistently, you won't have to worry about algae that needs filtering out. All of the moderators on this forum have sand filters and are perfectly satisfied with them. They are the easiest to maintain. Some of us use a little 'DE Trick' to help our sand filters.
