I'm sorry, I really don't know, since I've never seen that skimmer device. On most pools, you vacuum to the skimmer.
Maybe someone else will know.
I just bought a intex sand filter Model SF15110 for my intex 18x48 easy set pool with the metal poles. I was wondering how I vacuum the pool. I have the skimmer that hangs on the side of the pool. Where? How? do I hook up the vacuum. Do I vacuum the pool as I did, when OI had the cartridge filter system that came with the pool? Thanks for the help.

I've seen pics of that skimmer. You'd have to disconnect the skimmer from its drain hose and hook the vacuum to it. Or you can get a garden-hose vacuum that blows the dirt into a catch-bag. There are a few out there--I know Biogard still makes one--I saw it Saturday. Black Magic also makes one....they are similar in concept to the hose-driven leaf-vacuums.
When I had my Intex I had to creatively invent a way to hook a suction vacuum to the filter. I used a 3/4" double-female Schedule 40 adapter as the go-between. I clamped it into an 18' length of 1.25" corrogated pool hose, attached the hose to the vacuum, and plugged the Schedule 40 into the drain. The sizes were right and it worked nicely. Not the strongest vacuum but the filter caught stuff the catch-bag couldnt.
