Default pool autofill keeps filling, overage is drained

Our autofill will not stop filling the pool with water. We have tried to adjust the float but that is not working. Any suggestions?

    Repair the fill valve?

Sort of depends on what you have -- if you like you can send pictures to poolforum AT gmail DOT com

Most of them work just like a toilet tank float. It lifts till it cuts off the water, If it won't cut off when you move it manually, it's time for a new one.
