Above ground woes :(

Hi there folks! Glad to have found a community that can (hopefully) offer some advice.

I purchased an above ground 15' x 48" round pool, metal frame..etc.

We thought we have the ground pretty level when first installing, but made the mistake of adding dirt to the low side instead of taking away so obviously when the pool was filled one side sunk. It was about 2.5" low on one side. So we drained and started fresh. Hated doing this as it cost us $250 to fill it.

We dug out the ground, which was a HUGE task as our yard is all crappy fill full of rocks. Our yard is a pretty big slope, leading down to a retaining wall and parking lot for apartments behind so clearly we do not want this pool breaking apart on us.

After going over it and doing the whole board/level trick, the ground looked great and we put it down again.

After filling the thing it is STILL not level. What is happening is on the two sides it is even (two sides opposite each other). The other two sides opposite each other are off level (when comparing to the higher sides) 2" on one side and about 2.5" on the other.

I cannot afford to miss anymore time off of work to get this thing installed and can't afford yet a third $250 bill to fill again...do you think this will be okay? I have zero experience with this

We had to take down the same pool for the same reason. Our backyard is also on a slope and I did almost the same thing although our soil is very sandy. I removed dirt from one side and added it to the other. We were also about 3" off.

After we took it down I borrowed a laser level from a co-worker. Its one of those that spins around. I used one of the white legs to be able to see the line and walked all over the area checking. I had to remove more dirt from the side that was high and more in the area that was low. I actually let the low side be about 1" higher when checked with the laser level to account for settling.

When we filled it this time, the water level was within 1" all around. Hope this helps...
