    Default no calcium?

    newbie here. I have a 0 reading for calcium. I have a 16,500 inground vinyl. I read that it can cause pitting on the concrete deck. My deck as pitted like crazy since i quit using cal hypo three years ago. any comments

    You can send pictures to poolforum AT gmail DOT com, but 10:1, the pitting is cause by a combination of poor concrete finishing (too much water in the concrete) and cold winters.

    Corrosive water would cause surface roughness, but not pitting -- and in any case, it's very, very unlikely that low calcium in your pool water is an issue for your deck. If it was, all the concrete decks that get hosed off daily would be destroyed!
