    Ok, will do. I think the tubes are 1.5". the sand filter has Hayward VARI-FLO XL valve 75GPM on the label that's hard to read if that helps. I'm not there now so I can't take a picture yet but it's a large ball shaped filter.

    Thanks Janet. Would you suggest 3/4 or 1 HP?

    Ok, I found the previous owners pool paperwork.

    The Filter model is Swim Pro SW256T. The width shows 24-1/2". Design flow rate 80 GPM and 303 LPM (whatever that is).

    The pump is Hayward Power-Fl0 1.5 hp w/ 6 foot cord... I think. Says EP Series then model ISE1541-99.
