Opening the pool this week and went to Walmart to stock up on bleach. There was ultra last year, but just "Best Value" this spring. Still $2 for a large bottle, good stuff. Had 10 in the cart and read the label - 4% sodium hypochloride. $@#$(*:!#$**
No ultra on the shelves at all, just 4% junk, which I have never seen at Walmart before. So keep the price the same but dilute the product.
Did stop at a No Frills store for groceries and found a big jug of bleach for $1.50, but no labelling about the strength. I'm going to hunt around to try to find the strength of it. No Frills is a Loblaws btand, so they may both carry it.
They did have 6% for $2.29, so I can use that until I can get to my bulk source and fill up the carboys, but they don't open on weekends until mid-May.

I was in Florida this week and checked out a Wallie there, and the "Best Value" is 6%, and didn't say "ultra" or anything. GRRRR!!!

I stocked up at my local pool store on 12% "shock" - was about 2.30 a gallon...bought 36 :-)
Yeah, same here. Great Escape is selling a case of four 1 gallon bottles for $10. They raised the price a buck from last year, but still 12.5% bleach.
