Wow!!this bleach thing works
I opened my pool like 3 weeks ago and my pool has been agreen, cloudy swamp.I was shocking with cal hypo everyday and adding clarifier a couple times a week to no avail.Left filter on 24/7 since then...NOTHING.I stumbled upon this site and did a little reading about BBB and decided to convert.A few days ago I shocked with 6 gallons of bleach and found some polyquat 60 @ Leslies($32 a QUART!) and added just 20 oz of it.The VERY NEXT DAY after work I almost had a heart attack...my pool was absolutely CRYSTAL CLEAR!My 2 neighbors came over and was absolutely amazed. They said if they didnt actually see me go to work that morning, they woul of thought I drained and refilled. That polyquat is REALLY expensive as my heart skipped a beat when she said it was 32 bucks but it is worth it 105%.I've been buying that Namco clarifier and algesides but always felt they did not really work.I am a true believer! All hail Carl,Watermom and all the other mods here for all the advice.Oh yeah before I got home that next day I stopped @ Leslies again to get the Taylor test kit as they were out the day before and when I got home it was clear.Don't mean to ramble but I been battling this pool for 3 weeks and it just took the bbb method 24 hrs to cure it.I will NEVER put anything in my pool again except for bleach, borax and baking soda!Well,,maybe some muriatic acid, cya and occasionally polyquat60 but you get the drift. You guys rock!See ya later!
