ChlorEase
Hello! We purchased a ChlorEase SWC for ourbrand new above ground pool. Our pool was installed yesterday and is filling up as I type! I have a question for those of you who use ChlorEase.
How well does it work?
And have you had any problems with it?
AND this may seem like a really silly question but can it shock you? Since it's plugged into an outlet and all?

Re: ChlorEase
Did you check the warranties from the pool and SWCG manufacturers regarding the use of a SWCG in an AG pool? You might want to do so for peace of mind, as some AG pool and SWCG frown on this combo.
So long as the outlet is GFCI protected, there should be no problem.
Hope this helps.

Re: ChlorEase
Yes, we asked beofre we bought the pool if we could use a SWG and they said yes. They said the only thing that ruins the warranty on the pool is using liquid chlorine. I wondered if that sounded right though...? Doesn't the salt turn to chlorine?

Re: ChlorEase
That does not make sense. Liquid chlorine is bleach, usually 6%. They may be thinking of liquid chlorine bought from a pool store, which can be as high as 12% sodium hypochlorite.
The salt is converted to chlorine, and is replaced with muriatic acid, not salt.
You might want to check with the Chlorease manufacturer as well for the warranty in using their unit in an AG pool.
Hope this helps.
