    Default Replacing Spider Gasket

Have a Sand Dollar SD-40 Sand Filter with Multi-Port valve. Saw some minor leakage last season around the base of the valve. Plan on replacing this year. I remember reading prior posts that super glue is used to keep gasket in place. Just want to check on the procedures.

Loosen the bolts. Pull valve assembly out and the gasket should be there. Remove old gasket and scrape away any pieces left behind. Replace with new gasket (super glue in place with very small amounts so gasket doesn't move) and then tighten bolts. Is there a certain pattern to follow when tightening? Thanks
