In NJ, Branch Brook Pools (Namco) just had an unadvertised sale on gallons of 12.5% for $3.50 each. That's like $1.68 for a gallon of 6% bleach.
I don't know how long the sale runs.
Ditto - I've been buying from Walmart, but the Dollar General deal sounds better...

Here in North FL, Walgreens is selling their gallons of 6% for .99!
Are they gallons or 3-qt. jugs?
Target had a special last weekend .....3 of the 1.42 Clorox jugs for $5!
Stupid me only bought 3 because I was in a rush!
DAM!
I live in Springfield, MO and Wally-World (Wal-Mart Super) has it for $1.27 for 96 oz and Sam's sells the 182 oz, three in a box, for $8.12. I like the 182's because there are only three bottles. Yeah, those gallons used to be 128 oz. Now they are 96 oz. People swear they are getting gallons, but not really. They did the same to ice cream. They used to sell half gallons. Now check them, you'll see what I mean. Less for more. I just figure the cost per ounce and buy it wherever.
Most pool stores that sell chlorine in reusable carboys usually have an on site storage tank for the chlorine and fill the carboys themselves (It was a job I really hated! Ruined more work clothes and shoes that way filling a hundred carboys in the hot Florida sun! We got chlorine deliveries weekly (by a large tanker truck) and had two storage tanks out back. I'm talking about tanks standing 15 feet high and about 5 feet across! We sold a LOT of liquid chlorine. The chemical company we got it from guaranteed 12.5% but it was closer to 16-17% when delivered.
The gallon jugs of 10% from such companies as HTH (we sold those also) are often stored n warehouses and on site for long periods before they get sold so they often are not very fresh. The same goes for bleach from most discount and grocery stores. (Walmart might be the one exception to this. They seem to run out of bleach and need to restock it on a very regular basis, in least in my area.)

Hi Bob,
I am also from NW Indiana and this is my first year with BBB. American Sales in Merrillville has 4 Gal. of 12% liquid chlorine for a little under 10.00. That is 16 qts of 12% for 10.00 as opposed to 30 qts of 6% for same price. Since you only use 1/2 the amt of 12% I thought it was a better deal. Just wanted to share this info with you.
Here in IL, Great Escape is selling cases of 4 gallon 12.5% for $9.00. That comes to $2.25 a gal. It would be like 8 gallons of 6% for $1.12 each. That's the cheapest I've seen around here. Normally 6% 3qt bottles are goin for 1.49 or at the lowest 1.29 when on sale. Plus less empties to deal with too.![]()
