    Default D.E in pool??

I am curios what DE looks like if it were to re-enter the pool (bad grid etc...) I know if you were just adding it ...it would come out white from the returns (had it happen to me), but after it settles at the bottom of the pool over time does it change color? I see very light brown what looks like sand or algae...but I keep thinking it may be D.E

    Welcome to the forum!

Can you reach any of it to check it's 'feel'? De will feel like nothing when rubbed betwixt thumb and forefinger - sand will feel gritty. Any of your neighbors doing an addition which would allow silt and dust to settle in your pool?

Again, welcome here - I'd love an update when you figure this out
