Default High or Low PH to kill green algae?

    Hi all,
Just in the process of getting rid of green gremlins. Almost finished.
All Ive used is lots and lots of chlorine no algae killers. As for PH, should it be high or low in aiding to kill algae? Right now Im in the high 7's.
    thanks-

Lower pH makes chlorine more active.

I've seen a lot of claims, both ways, but no proof either way. And, I've not seen any clear difference in the field either. I'd just recommend maintaining your pH properly, based on other concerns, and continue chlorinating.

PS. While working on the glossary section of the manual for the PS234 today, I ended up checking out some recent research on biofilms. One of the studies examined literature on algal biofims, and noted that there was speculation on this topic, but apparently no actual studies.
