    Question Problem with Timer?

    Hello pool folks!
My problem: Intermatic timer, T100 series, has stopped working. I tried to replace it with a digital timer, GE 15132, but this did not work either.

Strange symptom is: when I try to use manual override to start the filter, it does not go on. However, when the manual override is in OFF position, I can hear buzzing sounds from Jandy valve hooked up to time. Pool filter still won't go on, but I get power reading from multimeter in the OFF position.

To say I am baffled is an understatement. I was hoping that someone out there will have a "I have seen that! It's (answer)!"

    I thought maybe it's the breaker (non-fuse).

Before I call an electrician in, thought I'd put it out there.

Many thanks for reading this. Great info here!

Welcome to the forum. I haven't found much info on these timers so I really can't intelligently comment. Hope someone else can. We'll keep this at the top. I'll try and dig more a little later when I get time.

Red face Re: Problem with Timer?

    Wow!
    Someone actually read my post!
I've not had much luck in the past trying to utilize forums, hence my surprise.

I've scheduled the local pool people to come out for 'diagnostics' @ $129...

I bought a digital multimeter to see if I can trace where the power stops - timer or pump, or even the junction box.

I've always had luck with little bumps like this, but not this time so far.

Thanks again for reading this post. I will update so others may benefit.

    Keep up the great work!
