I'm sorry I missed this post. When you don't get an answer in a couple days just make another post to bump it to the top of the list.

Welcome to the forum. I have one of those and the knob is a dog. I cut off the tab that stops it from turning so I can unscrew it all the way. I've had to replace those O-rings every couple years but I use the Home Depot flavor that aren't that resistant to chlorine. Cents vs. dollars apiece. I think you're supposed to be able to squeeze the knob to get the tang past the stops but not sure. Been many years since I cut the tang off. Once you unscrew it the repair is obvious.

Edit: Found this in the CL-100 guide.
"To remove dial valve handle.
Set pointer to Full. Insert screwdriver in slot opposite pointer, lift up and rotate handle counterclockwise. This allows the handle index lock tab to clear the body ridge."
