    Default Liner slipped overnight! HELP!

My husband and I were installing a new liner and Happy Bottom in our 27' found AG pool yesterday. We began filling it around 6pm. We had clothespins holding it up so we could stretch or let out the liner as needed. We have a bottom drain so a hole has already been cut in the center (did that after a few inches of water were in the pool.

This morning we discovered that as the liner was stretching, the clothespins all fell off and 1/4 of liner is hanging. Luckily no water went down into the sand so we're good there. The BIG problem is the liner is now TOO SHORT to hand over the side of the pool.

Can anyone help us??? Can we stretch the liner in any way? Will the heat from the sun help us (it should be in the 90's today).

It was short by about an inch or so. We rented a pump and pumped about 6" of water out, leaving about 4" in the pool. We did come back this morning and add the clamps to hold it up as we worked.

The sun is out and warmed up the vinyl so we were able to stretch it out and get the coping on (which is probably what we should have done in the first place).

Now, we have it all stretched over, coping is on, and we are back to filling. So far, we're back in business but I can tell you that we WON'T be filling it up at night ever again!!!

Do you think the vinyl can slip out of the coping at all?

Beaded liners can sometimes come out, but if you have a J hook or overlap you should have no issues.

Well, thank heavens the sun came out! We were able to stretch the liner back over the side of the pool. The pool is now full and all is well. Whew! It was a bit of a nightmare but we are wiser now. Now to get the water chemistry correct and we will be enjoying our new pool with NO footprints and a Happy Bottom floor!!!
