    Default Hayward ec40 ac

We are relitivly new to the pool ownership scene. We have owned a Intex Easy set pool for a few years, This year we decided to get a permanent AG pool.

We are piecing together a system getting most of the parts off of Craigslist. We purchased a used Doughboy 18 X 34 and we took that down last week end. It was missing the pump and filter so we purchased a EC40AC but the bolts and sleeves are missing from the cover clamps.

We ordered a new liner from the local pool store and are getting ready to start the excavation. I was kind of apprahensive about the excavation, but the quote of $3,000.00 + to have a professional do it helpe make up our mind.

Sorry to be so long winded, but my question is to anyone that ownes this filter housing. Could you please measure the length of the spacers when you have your filter apart.

I can make the spacers, I just seems the length is pretty critical, since the directions for tightening say to tighten the clamps until the washers bottom out on the spacers.

    Best regards,
    Dean

    Dean,

There is a 7.25" all-thread bolt that goes through a 5" hollow metal tube.

If you have any other measurements or questions let me know as I hope to have mine put together and on the pool by this weekend.

Thanks for the information, That is exactly what I was looking for.

I will try to remember pictures as we go through the installation process.

    Best regards,
