Default Advantages of 28 mil vs. 20 mil liner?

Have to put in a new one. I've always used 20 mil and my usual pool guy says there is no real advantage to the pricier 28 mil, but thought I'd ask the group her before deciding. thanks

I just replaced my 8 year old 20 ml with another 20 ml. If you look at the amount of physical difference between the two, you're basically talking about the thickness of a sheet of paper. IMHO, if something's gonna puncture the 20 ml, then that sheet of paper isn't gonna help you much...I'd save the extra money and spend it on bleach.

Just my opinion, and what I did!
