    Hi Mark,
    I think I'm reading his post as the pressure is at 24 right after a backwash and also in recirculate mode. I also have a 300# filter and 1 HP superpump and the pressure after a BW usually runs in the 12-14 psi range. If I remember right, with flow totally blocked, multiport in closed position, the max pressure I can hit is around 30, maybe a little higher. Personally I never follow the rule of waiting for a 10 psi increase to BW, usually just 3-4 or so unless I'm doing the DE trick.

    Edit: reading the first post again I have another question. Timmy you mention the flow is OK at first then drops. How about the pressure immediately after BW?
