Simply go to any pool store and buy an underwater patch kit--if they have a clerk with half a brain, he/she may have just the glue you use. If not, it doesn't hurt to have patch material. It is EXACTLY the perfect glue--you can use a piece of liner, and if there's a pattern, match the pattern. Cut the patch with well-rounded corners, and apply the glue only to it. Since it's dry, I'd outline the patch on the liner with a SOFT pencil first while it's dry. Underwater, you don't have this luxury.
Work the patch so there's no bubbles--the edges are the most critical part. If you have a little rubber roller like a tile fitter uses, that does a really nice job.
The patch should be a lot larger than the hole.
