What would be suggestions for getting bleach into the water till I can find a impeller?

Pour it slowly from a measuring cup while walking around the pool, holding the cup out as far away from the pool sides as you can, then stirring it up with a broom handle or your pole. If it's inground, you can also kind of "toss" it from a measuring cup, a little at a time, toward the center of the pool and especially into the deep end, following it up with a good brushing that will help distribute the bleach, just make sure that you don't splash it onto the side opposite where you're standing.

Brushing downs the sides of the pool will set up currents that help 'stir' the water. If you have a wall whale brush it does it even better.

Because my pump is on a timer set to come on late at night I nearly always add liquid chlorine while the pump is off. I broadcast it across the water surface using a pitcher and then push the WallWhale across the bottom a few times. A leaf net dragged through the water would have a similar effect.

Sorry to hear about your sick pump!

Not too bad of a problem, of course no one has the part in stock, seems I have an odd pump.
Hopefully in a couple of days I'll be back in business.

Thanks for the info everyone, it was what I was expecting to hear, just nice to know I have back up when needed.

Ended up ordering a new pump.

Mine was 8 years old and the motor didn't want to run the other day until I oiled the bearings and the part would have to be shipped from Canada, so might be better off in the end.
