It could possibly be the cell. If the outer or center edges of the blades have started to wear, it is an indication the cell may not be up to par.
On another pool forum I noticed that there are three or four of us who have recently had AutoPilot boards go out. Ours quit producing and I checked the board closely to learn there is a burnt spot on it. You might check your board closely... and check all three fuses... take them out and test them.
I thought about buying a new board, but we have to be getting close to needing a new cell as well, since ours is right at 5 years old. BUT, the replacement cells are ridiculously high. By the time I buy a new board and new cell, I'll have $1200 in the system again... without a full warranty on the entire system. I will be better off buying a new Goldline Aqua Rite 40K system for $900 and have fresh warranty on everything. I think AutoPilot has priced themselves out of consideration by me.
