Do you have a robotic cleaner? They sometimes 'overwork' an area and strip the pattern off the liner.
Inground pool only about 3 years old-
liner seems to be fading in the corner-
I do use the BBB method and have only had minor problems. also the pool water hardly ever reaches that level.
thoughts?

I do but it rarely reaches that area if ever. also it seems to be happening at the same level in a few spots around the pool. just not as bad.

After further inspection from in the pool it is happening at the same line level on 90% of the liner. almost a craking of some sort.
at what level should the water be at. i keep it half way at my skimmer level about 8inches from the top.

I haven't seen that before. My liner sometimes accumulates a dark gray buildup in about the same place that is white on your liner, but it isn't cracked--it cleans off with baking soda and a sponge. I have no idea what could make your liner crack like that above the waterline.

I guess i see if its covered under warenty.
thanks-
Very strange to only be in the corners like that...
Can you feel the area and tell us if it might possibly be calcium deposits or similar - ie - something that is on the liner (perhaps tape residue?)
Logic would say that any cracking would be ~ the same around the entire liner, but then again, so should any deposits![]()
Please keep us posted as to what you find out about this![]()

Hi waste it is happening at the same line level on 90% of the liner all around the pool.
the only thing i can think of is when i had a alge or slim problem i scrubed with a pool scrub brush. but i did that to 100% of the walls. this is happening above the waterline;(
Did you use any type of chemical when you were scrubbing with the pool brush that may have not been rinsed off above the waterline?
