Please advise on my automatic pool cleaner

Someone gave me an automatic inground pool cleaner (by way of a second party). It doesn't have a name on it but it is like the one that is all over ebay for $89.99 (buy it now). It has the flapper, and a long hose that connects to your intake. I have got it working but am concerned because there is no way of getting around everything it vacuums up going into your system. Is this OK? Right now I just have some dirt and bugs from all the rain but in the fall will have a lot of leaves.

It didn't come with any directions and I just want to make sure I am doing this right. It IS working, flapping around the bottom of the pool with good suction. Thanks!

You can buy and inline leaf canister for suction side cleaners from Zodiac, Hayward, Polaris, and Pentair. Check your local pool supply. (Personally, I lke the Hayward and Pentair.)
