Ok guys/ladies.... I'm at my wits end. I had posted about my light tripping the breaker, well... got that part solved. It's a tad of water getting into the light that trips it.... must vaporize it. Anyway, I have been trying (4 times) to keep the water from getting in the light housing. It's an Amerilite basic light. I have tried everything I know to do to keep it from getting in there... but it still does. I did get a new gasket but that didn't seem to help. I put some ring lube grease around the fittings to see if that would work... nope.
This is the light that has the little clips on it and there's a ring clamp that ride on the rings, then as you tighten it should seal the light.... well... something's not working there. I don't know how to tighten it down any tighter. I did read to tap the light to keep the pressure all around... didn't work. The light works fine.. but I know what should NOT be in the light housing.
Any tricks that I haven't tried yet to help seal this lens to the housing??? I am so tired of pulling this light in and out..... Thanks in advance !!!!
