Default How to update 6 year old Aquarite for new cell

I have read on several pool equipment sites that if you install a new aquarite cell on a system older than 2008 that you have to install new software. Can an average person do this? It is $365 + 500 for the replacement cell. That is about the price of an entirely new system. Has anyone dealt with this and what do you advise? I have already replaced the flow meter for $100.

    Dixie,
I'm on my 7th year with original Aquarite cell and this is news to me. I would advise calling their customer support found on the inside bottom right corner of the Aquarite control box. (888-921-7665) and let us know.

    Tony
