Good call, Waste. There is water dripping from the motor/pump interface... not a lot, but I can see it when I get on my knees and look underneath.

So I guess I should contact my pool service company. How serious is this? Does this indicate impending failure?

Since the motor was replaced only a year ago the pump should come apart easily. That is no corrosion seizing bolts and so forth. Replacing the seal assembly should therefore be pretty easy. Dig up the owners manual, online if you don't have it, and instructions should be in it.
    Good Luck.
