    That pump is definitely way different than mine but it's item #2 that is probably bad.
    Check this site and see if the owners manual is listed. Didn't see anything for an Ultra-Flow. The flat for a wrench on mine is at the rear under the back cover. One manual I looked at on the site below mentioned a screwdriver slot to hold the shaft. See what you can find.

    Would this area to hold the shaft be withn the motor itself or the pump?

    Typically the back end of the motor, the end opposite the pump end. Under that back cover there is usually the centrifugal starter switch and in some cases the starting capacitor.

    Al,
    Thanks very much for the help. The seal was the problem. Replaced it myself for $20. Probably saved at least $100. What a great forum. Has saved me tons over the years.
