Upsizing the filter NEVER hurts!
Please do yourself a favor and be sure to get a 6 position multiport, not a push/ pull valve nor a 4 position multi!!![]()

Waste - Thanks for the reply - The filter I am looking at has a lower flow rate should I be concerned? should I be looking for a sand filter with the same flow rate as the Catridge filter I currently have?
Thanks - Jeff![]()
I don't have the specs for the filters handy but it's a good idea to keep the flow trough the filter LOWER. Think of it this way, lower flow through the filter lets more debris get trapped (ie. not just blow through the filter media).
I'm pretty sure the S - 244 is a decent match for a 1.5 hp pump but.. it never hurts to get the next size up filter![]()
