    Default Full opening instructions?

I want to open my pool myself this year instead of the usual $300-400 pool company charge. Is there a step-by-step guide? I've seen several things about water chemistry, but what about the sequence of steps for the pump, filter (DE), heater (gas), etc?

    Thanks
    Charlie

Trouble Free Pool has the Pool School post Opening Your Winterized Above Ground Pool and The PoolForum (this site) has FAQ: Common Spring Startup Problems (initially had a typo as "FAQ: Common Sprint Startup Problems").

    Hope that helps.

Actually, it's SPRING Start up Problems, not Sprint. We don't do cell phones here--try Howardsforum.com for that

Carl, cut Richard some slack! He has probably done almost as much for us singlehandedly as Ben has!

I can take a tease! I've corrected the offending misspelling above.

Evan, thanks for the compliment. I may have depth in pool water chemistry theory in some narrow areas that Ben did not, but he had breadth and experience that is unmatched. I miss him.

I was referring to the behind the scene work you have been doing on the new standards for pool watern that you have alluded to at times.

So is that making fun or being sarcastic and belittling?
