I think the steps you speak of are the 'retro' corner steps. If your pool was built without steps, they are a decent way to add them to the pool when you replace the liner. These steps go in one of the shallow end corners and are made of the same steel your walls are. They are made to accomidate the pool, as long as you have 90 degree, 6" radius (0r diagonal) or 2' radius corners. The ones I'm familiar with are made by Cardinal and available via Baystate pools. If you can procure them, you need to install them 'perfectly' to accommodate the new liner, some floor work is involved - so that you have the floor match up with the new steps.
I can give you more info on installing them or getting the floor to mate up with them (would you mind if I copied this and put it on the forum?? I'm sure you are not the only one with this question and others may learn something from our exchange)
While I don't want to discourage anyone from posting here, www.troublefreepools.com is more active than this site, which is one of the reasons I'd like to bring this to the boards on this site -- Ben has given us so much that I'd hate to see this site die![]()
If I can be of further help on this, never hesitate to ask of me
(this was a PM sent to me today, when I tried to respond - with the above - I was informed that there was no room in his 'in-box', so I've posted it here![]()
