    Default Moving my equipment indoors

Finally got everthing done with the pool deck, and now I can start on the poolhouse/shelterhouse. What kind of ventilation is required for the room where the pump and filter will be? My plan is to put a louvered wall vent down low near the pump motor, and another up high on the building to let natural convection move the air. Will this be enough? It will be an uninsulated room, only in use during warm months.

    Hi, John,

I had the same questions...mine's indoors. I added a little (4" dia., 110v) cheap fan to blow directly on my motor. Cost me about 8.00, I think. Negligible electric consumption....good peace of mind.

Worth considering. Pump motors run hotter than many people think they do, and I know I don't want stagnant air in there.
